Reactions

So excited to announce that Blessings is on the longlist of the 2024 Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize!

Chukwuebuka Ibeh

Okay, it’s absolutely wild that my novel SHIGIDI AND THE BRASS HEAD OF OBALUFON is on the longlist for the Wilbur Smith adventure writing prize. I never even expected it but I am so happy to see it. Shigidi and Nneoma’s globetrotting, era-spanning adventure was a joy to write.

The shortlist will be made public later and the winner announced in a ceremony on September 19.
