Sankara Africa Review is thrilled to announce an open call for flash fiction submissions! We invite writers from across the globe to contribute their short, powerful, and captivating stories that celebrate the diversity, richness, and complexity of African experiences.
Submission Guidelines:
- Word Limit: Submissions should be between 300 and 1,000 words.
- Theme: Open. We welcome stories that explore any theme or subject, as long as they are original, compelling, and resonate with the spirit and diversity of Africa.
- Language: Submissions must be in English.
- Formatting: Please submit your work in a Word document (.doc or .docx) or PDF format. Use a standard font such as Times New Roman or Arial, 12-point size, double-spaced.
- Submission Limit: Each writer can submit up to two stories.
- Original Work: Only previously unpublished works are accepted.
How to Submit:
- Email: Send your submissions to submissions@sankaraafricareview.com with the subject line “Flash Fiction Submission – [Your Name]”.
- Include in Your Email:
- A brief bio (up to 100 words).
- Contact information (name, email address).
- Title(s) of your story/stories.
Submission Deadline:
- Date: All submissions must be received by 30th of June 2024.
Selection and Notification:
- Selected stories will be published in an upcoming issue of Sankara Africa Review.
- Authors of accepted submissions will be notified by after selection.
